So who is Nancy Benn?

I’ve assisted my lovely clients’ business endeavours on a flexible basis since 2010 and by operating virtually and online, I can work from anywhere with an internet connection. I always wanted to move abroad, so setting up as a Virtual Assistant following redundancy in 2010 (my 4th in just 10 years), would enable me to eventually do-so. Therefore, for seven years, I worked from my home office on the Notts/Derbys border. In September 2017, I told my clients I was going on holiday to Spain & didn’t return to the UK… I continued to provided seamless admin and business support to entrepreneurs from 12 different homes in Portugal and Spain! Hubby Rob and I had planned to travel Europe more widely, but a little glitch called Brexit, followed by my totally unexpected pulmonary embolism part-way through our journey in April 2019, necessitated a change of plan. Not to mention the difficulties we would have encountered by travelling in the coronavirus-19 pandemic a year later…

Part of living a freedom lifestyle is the ability to accept change and adapt, so we examined our priorities and worked through some tough challenges, both practical and emotional, and haven’t looked back.  We now enjoy living next to the Med amongst the orange groves in the Valencian Community, sharing our lives with two dogs and a pesky parrot. I chose to use Woody, our African Grey parrot as my logo, even though he’s bonded with Rob & bites me at every opportunity!
